Quest Personals is e-Questrian's automated version of the personals section historically found in the Quest and other newspapers, where people advertise themselves romantically to some audience, in our case the rest of the student body. Conducting such affairs online, rather than or in addition to in the physical paper, can make for less valuable page space being taken up with things other than articles, and allows for greater anonymity on the part of those who place and respond to personal ads.

When using Quest Personals, rest assured that your identity is as secure as we can possibly make it. Your username is not tied directly to any personal ad or comment thereon you may write, and no identifying information is visible on the administrators' control panel, only indirectly by the webmaster. You are solely responsible for the content of any conversation you may have with prospective romantic interests, including when or if to divulge your identity. Remember, the honor principle is in effect even when you are anonymous.

If another individual is being unpleasant, you may choose to block them from responding to or viewing any personal ad(s) you may have on Quest Personals. If you feel their behavior is seriously objectionable and merits an honor case or similar proceedings, please inform the Quest Board and include relevant information. These are the only circumstances under which users' identities will be accessed directly.
